5 Tips to Styling Shelves

Shelves are so fun to decorate! They can also be a bit intimidating, especially when you have as many built ins as we have in our home. They are forever changing & things are constantly moving around.

I've put together 5 Tips on how to best style your shelves! I like to place items in 3's with pieces at different heights & levels to give some dimension.

1. Sentimental pieces. I think shelves are the perfect place to display personal photos.

2. Quotes/Signs. Quotes/Signs work perfectly on shelves. Especially if you are out of wall space, but still love signs as much as I do!

3. Flowers/Greenery. They add color and brighten up the space. They can be changed seasonally depending on if you're using fresh or faux pieces.

4. Books. I don't have too many books on these shelves, but it's a great opportunity to store books & still look pretty!

5. Antiques/Knick Knacks. My house can sometimes be over come with all sorts of knick knacks or antiques that I have found & shelves are the perfect "storage" for them.
