Breakfast Nook

Time for another week of My Corner Wednesday!

This week, I'm sharing my little breakfast nook/mudroom/coffee bar room. We haven't officially given this space a name, but it's right off of our kitchen and it's how we enter the house from the back yard. So essentially it is a mudroom, but I decided to use part of it as my coffee bar & this space as a little sitting area.

Some fun facts about this nook! About a month before we moved into the house, John Paul & I were doing some errands & found this cute home decor store. We popped in to look around & this table caught my eye. As soon as I saw it, I knew it would be so cute in this space. At the time, John Paul kept reminding me that anything we bought then, we then had to move to the house. Totally makes sense, right?? So I left that day without my table, knowing I would hopefully go back for it within a month to get it for the house. I started thinking more & more about it. John Paul finally caved, but I had to agree not to buy anything else before we moved. It just didn't make sense to move things twice.

Fast forward a couple weeks & we were in Home Goods looking around (torture for someone who isn't buying home decor). These chairs JUMPED out at me. I had been thinking about what kind of chairs I wanted to go in this nook & I pictured something just like these! Again, my level-headed husband kindly reminded me, we still have 2 weeks to go & have no where in the apartment to store these! So once again, we left without buying anything. Well a couple days later, John Paul suggested we go back for the chairs because he knew I would regret not getting them. They were the perfect price, the perfect size, & perfect for my vision. What a good hubby I have :)

What do you think of this little space? I have been dreaming up things for this room since we first walked through this house & I just love how it's coming together!

Leave me a comment on what you think!
