Re-purposed Table
I love this story about my table. My Mom & Mother-in-Law were helping us move into our house back in March. We were getting the furniture rearranged in the Sun Room and we all agreed that I needed a somewhat large end table to fill up this corner. I thought it would take some time to find the perfect piece, BUT I was shocked when I came across this table in one of my favorite local antique stores only a few weeks later. It was in the corner of the store hidden under lots of other antiques. I had looked around the store several times just to make sure I didn't miss anything. I saw this beauty hidden & knew it would have the perfect home in our Sun Room. The best part about this table is how it was made. While the store owner was checking me out, she told me that the table was made by a local woodworker who re-purposed all different pieces of furniture to build the table. How fun is that?! He used a head board, foot board, old spindles, and a few other pieces.

Right now I have some small glass jars from Hobby Lobby filled with dried Lavender inside an old rustic crate. I plan to switch it up for the seasons, but I love how simple it is on top of the table. The table has so much character that I really don't want to take away from it. I love my arch lamp hanging above the table. It sets such a nice ambiance at night since there are no over head lights in the Sun Room. The arch lamp is from Home Goods! I love that it frames & highlights the table.
What do you think of my re-purposed table?
Thank you so much for reading my blog!
