Summer Front Porch: Part 2

Last weekend I had shared part 1 of our front porch all ready for Summer ( click here ). Today I am back to share part 2: "the living room!"

Living Room Side

So like I said, our porch is rather large so I wanted to make the best of the space & really take full advantage of it. I wanted the living room side or lounging side or whatever you want to call it side to feel just as simple & clean as the dining side. Lots of whites, greens, & neutrals make for an easy breezy summer feel.

The white rocking chairs & glider were from the previous owner that we purchased with the house, but I have seen some very similar at Home Depot, Lowes, or Amazon. I am using apple baskets again to tie into the dining side. This time I am using them as end tables. So fun & adds the perfect amount of rustic charm. On top of them, I placed a cement vase from the Target Dollar Spot with some faux greenery from IKEA. So simple yet so charming. Today was such a hot day that some refreshing lemon water was a constant out here so I figured, why not include it?! The throw is from West Elm & it's on sale right now for only $14.99 = score! Everything is sitting on top of my favorite rug from Joss & Main. It is not an outdoor rug, but our porch is very protected from the elements that I have had no issues with it & I got it in January. The little chippy white chair is from a local antique store. Chippy things just make everything better, don't they? My favorite galvanized watering can is from Target which is so functional & makes watering my ferns so easy! The fence post is actually from our old fence that we had to replace. I thought it looked so perfect leaning against the house to give some dimension.

We just love coming out here at night & watching the sunset on the rocking chairs. It is the perfect viewing spot to create new memories in our home.

Porch View

I truly think the porch is what sold us on this house. We could envision ourselves hanging out here with friends & family & enjoying the views. We are so happy with how this turned out & I think our vision came to life this year!

Who wants to come over & hang with us on our porch?!

Thank you for stopping by the blog!
