Baby A Nursery (Volume II)
Another busy, busy weekend over here! We are just checking things off our list & we love it! This week's update on Baby A's Nursery is all about his future changing table. Right now it looks like a dresser because that's essentially what it is LOL. You check out Volume I of the nursery, here.
A little background on this dresser. We had been scouring the FB Marketplace page for a few weeks trying to find the perfect dresser for my vision. I knew what I wanted it to look like, but couldn't find one that was the right style or price. We are going to be using this as the changing table so we needed a longer style dresser. I finally found the perfect one for $30 & was messaging with the owner. I sent her a message saying we wanted it & would pick it up this weekend. The next morning I realized the message never went through so I quickly sent it, hoping it was still available because she had mentioned that there was a lot of interest in the piece. She told me she had offered it to someone else, but when she learned that it was for our baby's nursery, she wanted us to have it! How sweet?! Well in the end, we ended up with the dresser & we could not be more excited with it!!! It was meant to be ours.
Here is what the dresser looked like before:
I used a couple of coats of Rustoleum Charcoal Chalk Paint & coated the top with a coat of poly to seal it. I decided to go right over the handles to give it a more masculine look. I actually love it!
Hanging above the changing table are some prints that my cousin, Shanleigh from August & Osceola did for me. They coordinate with the baby shower invite she created. You should check her out, she is AMAZING!
The EXPLORE sign, the Teepee Sign, the frames, the rug & the light switch cover are all from Hobby Lobby. They were all 50% off this weekend so run over to HL for some serious deals! There was a lot more I could have picked up too! The sherpa bear rocker is from our registry at Pottery Barn that we received as a gift from my Aunt! It is the cutest & softest thing ever. I can't wait to see our little man playing with it :)
We have made some big progress with the nursery. I can't believe we are only THREE months away from my due date today!! Time is flying & I am so excited for what's to come!
